Sustainability in action
Sustainability isn’t just a box to tick—it’s a responsibility we take seriously at Haman Terra Nova. We’re proud to have earned the Travelife Certificate in Sustainable Tourism, a recognition of our commitment to operating responsibly. From our offices to our travels, here’s how we’re taking action to reduce our footprint and create a greener future.
Cleaning up our neighbourhoods
A clean environment benefits everyone, so we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Our teams across Haman Group organised clean-ups at Lake Sognsvann in Oslo and a beach in Sollentuna, Stockholm. These events aren’t just about sustainability—they also bring colleagues together, strengthen our teamwork, and give back to the places we live and work in.

Sharing is caring
One person’s clutter is another’s treasure. Instead of throwing away unwanted clothes, books, and household items, we set up an office flea market where colleagues could exchange or adopt pre-loved items. This initiative keeps products in circulation for longer, reducing waste while building a sense of community.
Making travel more sustainable
Business travel is sometimes unavoidable, but we’re committed to making it as eco-friendly as possible. That means:
Prioritising public transport over taxis and rental cars
Avoiding flights whenever possible and opting for trains instead
Replacing unnecessary trips with virtual meetings
Offsetting carbon emissions when flying is unavoidable

Sustainable Practises in our Offices
Let’s go paperless: We encouraged our employees to stop printing unless it’s absolutely necessary and are proud to say that we have reduced our paper consumption by a considerable amount since we started implementing this change.
Recycling: We take great care in recycling and sorting our office waste. Whether that’s food waste from our daily lunches, or cardboard from recent deliveries. We call each other out if we see something that is in the wrong bin, and help each other.
Switch it off: Whenever we don’t use a room, we turn off the lights and the heating to reduce our electricity consumption, if possible. We make sure that this is a practise all employees implement daily.
