Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Copenhagen

Arrival in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark. It is ranked as one of the greenest and most pleasant cities in the world by the New York Times! Copenhagen is a modern capital with strong roots in the past. It is welcoming, dynamic, full of life and charm, and an ideal starting point for exploring Denmark.

Accommodation in Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen – Helsingor – Roskilde (+/- 120 km)

Start your journey north to visit Lake Elsinore, home to Kronborg Castle, better known as Hamlet's Castle. Continue on to Hillerod and Frederiksborg Castle, where you'll find the Danish National History Museum. You will then pass through the town of Roskilde, where you will find the former cathedral sanctuary and mausoleum of the Danish royal family, built in the 12th century. You can also visit the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum and see its ancient ships from 1000 AD.

Accommodation in Roskilde.

Day 3: Roskilde – Odense (+/- 135 km)

Today, we cross Europe's longest bridge: the Storebælt (the Great Belt Bridge - toll not included), which links the island of Sealand to Funen - thus connecting the eastern and western parts of Denmark. Arrival in Odense, the town of Hans Christian Andersen, the Danish writer and poet best known for his fairy tales. Odense is a town that combines the ancient with the modern, the ideal place to familiarise yourself with one of Denmark's most famous products: craft beer!

Accommodation in Odense.

Day 4: Odense – Århus (+/- 145 km)

Today, you'll head west to one of Denmark's most famous places, Billund, home to just 6,000 inhabitants and the famous Legoland: a small miniature world built entirely out of Lego. You will then head north-east to Århus, the biggest town in Jutland, where you will find the Den Gamle By open-air museum, dedicated to local culture and customs from 1500 to present day.

Accommodation in Århus.

Day 5: Århus – Skagen (+/- 225 km)

You'll head north to Skagen, where the land narrows to become a sandbank battered by the waves of the two seas. Skagen lies between the white dunes of flowering heather. Along the seafront, you'll find small restaurants serving excellent shrimps and fresh seafood.

Accommodation in Skagen.

Day 6: Skagen – Kolding (+/- 315 km)

Today, your journey will continue south to reach the town of Kolding. The most important monument in the town's history is Koldinghus Castle, which over the years has been a fortress, a royal residence, ruins and then a museum. The town also features the Trapholt Art Museum, dedicated to modern art.

Accommodation in Kolding.

Day 7: Kolding – Copenhagen (+/- 230 km)

This day is dedicated to visiting the magnificent capital of Denmark, a modern city that has retained all its charm of the past. Copenhagen is often considered one of the best cities in the world for its quality of life, despite the cost! With its long history and wide variety of attractions, there is always plenty to see and do. Moreover, the town is small and therefore ideal for exploring on foot. København is Danish for ‘’commercial port‘’.

Accommodation in Copenhagen.

Day 8: Departure from Copenhagen

Leisure time to visit Copenhagen and its many attractions. Departure from Copenhagen according to your own itinerary.
