To gently get used to the extreme temperatures, you will spend two days in Helsinki, the country’s capital before heading to the Arctic Circle for a real Arctic experience.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Helsinki
Arrival at Helsinki airport and transfer (not included) to your hotel.

Day 2: Free day in Helsinki
Buffet breakfast. Make the most of this day to discover what the city has to offer. Art, history and design museums, there’s something for everyone. A shopping spree won’t go amiss either if you’re keen to bring home some made-in-Finland items!

Day 3: Flight (not included) to Rovaniemi and Finnish Lapland
Buffet breakfast. Transfer of your choice to Helsinki airport for your flight to the Lapland region. On arrival in Rovaniemi, again you can take the transfer of your choice to your hotel.

Day 4: Meet the reindeer
Buffet breakfast. To get your stay in Lapland off to a good start, you’ll set off to meet the reindeer. These animals were of major importance to the Sami people in the days before cars and snowmobiles. Settle into your sleigh and enjoy a peaceful ride. Note: Activity not available on Tuesday and Thursday.

Day 5: Electric snowmobile safari
Buffet breakfast. Today we add a little adrenalin to your holiday. After receiving safety instructions, you’ll set off to explore the countryside on a snowmobile. Please note that a driving licence is required, so please bring it with you on the excursion. Note: Activity available only on Wednesday and Friday

Day 6: Dog sledding adventure
Buffet breakfast. When you arrive at the kennels, you’ll hear the dogs barking and that can be impressive but rest assured, that’s just the excitement talking! The dogs are happy to see you arrive because it means they can run! On your sleds, get set, go!

Day 7: Departure from Finland
Buffet breakfast. Depending on your flight schedule, transfer of your choice to Rovaniemi airport.

• 1 Reindeer safari excursion, 2.5 hrs – reindeer safari: 1 hour
• 1 Electric Snowmobile excursion, 2 hrs – driving time approx. 1.5 hrs (children under 14 ride in a sledge behind the guide)
• 1 Dogsledding excursion, 2 hrs – safari with the dogs approx. 1 hour
Local tip
Try one of the famous Finnish sauna! Helsinki is full of saunas and you can also take a swim if you feel brave enough!
