This Nordic experience begins in the Swedish capital, Stockholm! Its unique architecture has earned it the nickname Venice of the North. You will then change latitude to reach Lapland and its polar atmosphere. Huskies and Northern Lights await you on this Arctic adventure.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Arrival in Stockholm, transfer (not included) to Stockholm city center and check-in at your hotel. Stockholm, the capital of Sweden is situated on the eastern coast of the country, encompassing 14 islands connected over 50 bridges. Known for its stunning archipelago, it offers a unique blend of historical and modern attractions to explore.
Accommodation in Stockholm.
Note: To go from/to the airport to the city/from city center we advise you to take a low carbon emission transfer such as, the airport shuttle , trains, or an electrical car.
Day 2: Discovery of Stockholm
Enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast at the hotel and explore Stockholm at your leisure. Founded in the 13th century, Stockholm has a rich history, evident in its well-preserved medieval architecture. We advice to visit the Old Town (Gamla Stan), with landmarks like the Royal Palace and Stockholm Cathedral. For museum, we recommend the Vasa Museum and open air Skansen museum.

Day 3: Flight (not included) to Kiruna in Swedish Lapland
Enjoy a Scandinavian breakfast at the hotel. Transfer (not included) to the airport and flight (not included) to Kiruna. Arrival at Kiruna airport, transfer included to your hotel. Kiruna, located in the northernmost part of Sweden, is a region known for its stunning natural beauty, indigenous Sami Culture and unique Arctic experiences. Kiruna is also home to one of the world’s largest iron ore mines, which has been crucial to the town’s economy and development.

Optional: It is possible to travel to Kiruna by taking the night train from Stockholm train station.
Day 4: Dog sledding
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for your dog sledding activity located 15 minutes from Kiruna. Get ready to drive your own team of huskies on snowy trails and cross a frozen lake. Hot drinks and snacks will be served in a traditional tent (lávvu). This is a tour where you will sit on a large sled driven by a professional guide.

Day 5: Northern Lights chase with a photographer
Breakfast at the hotel. In the evening, meet with a professional photographer who will guide you on how to use your camera to maximize your chances of capturing the best shots. Depart by minibus to find the best place to observe the auroras. Cameras and tripods are provided. You can buy an SD card on site.

Optional: During the day, we can offer you access to the Camp Ripan SPA with the ‘Stävan’ ritual.
Day 6: Meeting the reindeer and discover the Sami culture
Breakfast at the hotel. Then set off to discover Sami culture and meet their reindeer. Travel in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile through the snowy-forest to the Sautosjohka reindeer enclosure. After feeding the reindeer yourself, you will have the chance to take a sleigh ride. Finally, you will enjoy suovas, a typical Sami dish, around a glowing fire while learning more about the culture, history and modern way of life of the Sami people.

Day 7: Departure from Kiruna
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer (included) to the airport for your return flight.

Local tip
To travel from Stockholm to Kiruna, you can take the night train. It allows you to admire the beautiful landscapes and it's a good thing for the environment!
