Oslo's history dates back to the Middle Ages, with the first buildings dating from the year 1000. Oslo lies at the end of the Oslofjord, and the city is surrounded by forests. In 2007, it was voted the second best city in the world by the American magazine Reader's Digest, with a great interest in nature and respect for the environment.

This unique sculpture park is the life's work of Gustav Vigeland, with over 200 sculptures on display.
