Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Evenes
Arrival in Evenes airport (Harstad/Narvik), (flight not included), in Northern Norway. You will be welcomed by our tour leader (language spoken dependent on the guest) as well as our driver. Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Narvik.
Day 2: Narvik - Sortland/Stokmarknes
Scandinavian breakfast. Start the day with a visit of the War Museum, to better understand the history of Narvik and why it is famous. You will get to see the different aspect of the famous battle, whose impact was significant in the whole area as well as the world's history. Lunch, then head for the Vesterålen islands, passing through the Snofjellet mountains and along the Otofjorden fjord. This archipelago is made up of 1 330 islands scattered in the waters of the northern part of Norland county.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in the Vesterålen, Sortland area.
Day 3: Vesterålen
Scandinavian breakfast. Departure for the northern tip of the archipelago on the island of Andøya. Stop en route to visit a reindeer farm run by a Sami family. You will be welcomed in a lavvu (traditional tent) by this family, who will explain their way of life and their ancestral traditions. Continue to the village of Andenes via the east coast of the island, which offers a superb view of the Senja archipelago. Lunch in Andenes. Return to your hotel via the west coast of the island and the superb Andøya national tourist road. Here you can admire the superb white sandy beaches and the Andøya Space Centre, from which dozens of satellites are launched every year.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in the Vesterålen, Sortland area.
Day 4: Vesterålen - Svolvær
Scandinavian breakfast. Departure towards the south of the archipelago. Visit the Hurtigruten museum, which tell the history of the history of the famous coastal express company. Continue by ferry between Melbu and Fiskebøl to reach the Lofoten archipelago. Lunch en route. Visit of a local sheep farm. Continuation to the town of Svolvær, capital of the Lofoten. The midnight sun (visible between 24/5 and 18/8) creates a magical atmosphere.

Day 5: Northern Lofoten
Scandinavian breakfast. Depart on a 3-hour cruise on a electrical boat, to discover the magnificient Trollfjord and the sea-eagles that live in this region. This safari will take you to see the largest sea eagles in the world, with wingspans of up to 2.65 metres. You will then continue on to Trollfjord, the highlight of our trip, a natural wonder with spectacular scenery and tranquil waters. Lunch, then rest of the afternoon dedicated to the beautiful scenery of the area, with a lot of time to visit Henningsvær, a charming little village full of art galeries and small streets with cozy cafes.

Day 6: Southern Lofoten
Scandinavian breakfast. Depart for the south of the archipelago to discover the island of Vestvågøy, famous for its fine sandy beaches - Haukland or Utekleiva - which are among the most beautiful in the world. Continue on to the islands of Flakstadøya and Moskenesøya, the southernmost of the Lofoten Islands. Here you can visit the superb old fishing villages of Sakrisøy, Reine and Å. Lunch on board. Visit the dried cod museum. Return north on the E10 national tourist route, one of the most beautiful in Norway.

Day 7: Svolvær - Harstad
Scandinavian breakfast. Departure back towards the North, to Hinnøya, the biggest island of the country, with its 2200 km2. Visit a salmon farm by RIB Boat, to learn more about the principal economic ressource in Norway. You will also get a tasting of fresh salmon! Lunch on the way. Continue towards Harstad, one of the biggest city on the county.
Dinner and overnight stay in Harstad.
Day 8: Departure from Evenes
Scandinavian breakfast. Transfer to Evenes airport and help with formalities.

Local tip
Stockfish (Tørrfisk) is one of Lofoten’s most iconic and historic foods, a centuries-old tradition that has shaped the region’s culture and economy. It is air-dried Arctic cod, preserved naturally by the cold, salty winds of Lofoten during winter. You can try stockfish in several delicious ways in local restaurants.
