Norway is famous for its nature, fjords, mountains and waterfalls. This tour includes all of them! As you travel by train and boat, you'll have the opportunity to admire and enjoy the spectacular Sognefjord, Norway’s longest and deepest fjord. You'll also have the chance to explore Norway's two most famous cities: Oslo and Bergen.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Oslo
Arrival in Oslo according to your itinerary. Oslo is Norway's largest city and has been its capital for over 700 years. Oslo's history dates back to the Middle Ages, with the first buildings dating from the year 1000. Oslo lies at the end of the Oslofjord, and the city is surrounded by forests. In 2007, it was voted the second best city in the world by the American magazine Reader's Digest, with a great interest in nature and respect for the environment.

Day 2: Oslo
Day at leisure. As an option, we recommend that you book a 3-hour guided walking tour of Oslo with an English-speaking guide. We suggest you visit Vigeland Park, the largest sculpture park in the world to feature the works of a single artist. This unique sculpture park is the life's work of Gustav Vigeland, with over 200 sculptures on display. Also not to be missed: the city centre with the Parliament, the Royal Palace, the famous Aker Brygge near the Akershus citadel, and the modern district with its restaurants, numerous shops, luxury flats and marina.

Day 3: Oslo – Myrdal - Flåm (train)
Early departure from Oslo by train. The 5-hour journey from Oslo to Myrdal is part of the Oslo-Bergen route, ranked as one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. This rail link connects Norway's two largest cities and provides an opportunity to discover the diversity of the Norwegian landscape. Change at Myrdal. The Flåmsbana passes through mountain tracks, from which you can see waterfalls and sheer cliffs 900 metres high.

Day 4: Flåm – Sognefjord – Balestrand (boat)
Today, you'll take the boat down to the Sognefjord, Europe's longest and deepest fjord, to the village of Balestrand.

Day 5: Balestrand – Sognefjord – Bergen (boat)
Your trip will continue by boat from Balestrand on the Sognefjord, then along the coast to Bergen, the gateway to the fjords. Bergen is Norway's second largest city and the only city in the world surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords.

Day 6: Bergen
Day at leisure. Bergen offers many attractions, including a visit to the Hanseatic port of Bryggen, the Fløibanen funicular, Troldhaugen, the fish and flower market, the Bergen aquarium and Gamle Bergen (the open-air museum of old Bergen).

Day 7: Departure from Bergen
Departure from the hotel to the airport (transfer not included) according to your flight itinerary.
Note: To get from the airport to the city centre or vice versa, we recommend that you use low CO2 emission transport such as trains, trams, airport shuttle buses and private transport in electric cars.
